My client, an established ASX listed business is now expanding its operations across Australia due to a steady increase in turnover over the past few years. The business is well known in the market for promoting a good work / life balance and even have a gym on site.
You will be part of the Finance team based in the company's head office which is located in Sydney's West. You will be given a permanent contract therefore being on a notice period will be of no issue to the ideal candidate.
This position will be a chance for you to prove yourself within the business. Doing well here could see you accelerate up the company hierarchy and open up many other opportunities further down the line.
Your role will be a Financial Accounting focussed role but will give you exposure to some Management Accountant duties such as cash flow management.
Your main duties will include:
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure allocated statutory accounts are prepared and reviewed
- Develop and implement operating procedures
- Ad hoc tasks to improve finance processes
You will report directly to the Departmental Finance Manager who will offer their support and guidance, whilst developing your already existing skills. You will also have an opportunity to work under the guidance of a mentor.
The team are well known for being down to earth and creating a positive atmosphere in the office. The successful candidate must be willing to adopt these principals.
In order to successfully apply for this role you should:
- Be CA/CPA qualified
- Have a chartered background (ideally big4 / top 10)
- Have worked on large businesses (over $100mil T/O, sector not important)
- Be an excellent communicator
Having 1- 2 years Financial Accounting experience is advantageous but this should certainly not discourage first movers from applying
Also, those on sponsorship or WHV's should not be discouraged.
