One of our valued clients within Melbourne CBD have a financial analyst position available in their finance team. The prime objective, being to provide management reporting and value adding analysis to management and the wider business. This role will be a 3 month contract position with the aim to start ASAP.
This opportunity will involve a broad range of tasks, including but not limited to: forecasting and budgeting, preparation of monthly financial and management reports including commentary analysis, driving process improvements, trend analysis, budgeting and forecasting, partnering with key business units including operations and the commercial teams, stakeholder management, maintaining the fixed asset register, championing business processes, new system implementations, and ad hoc project work as advised by the senior finance management team when required.
This role will suit a fully qualified CA/CPA accountant making their first move out of a Big 4/second tier environment. A combination of both chartered and industry experience will be looked upon very favourably. The successful candidate will be ambitious and driven with exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling them to be able to partner with key stakeholders, who are both internal and external to the organisation. Having SAP experience and budgeting and forecasting skills are an absolute must for this position. Further, the successful candidate will have a high level of initiative and the ability to manage complex issues when they arise.
