About the Role

You'll report to the Tax Manager and work closely with the Head of Tax, owning Australian tax compliance while getting real exposure to the UK side of the business too. It's not a role where you'll do one thing forever - you'll touch corporate tax, GST, employment tax, acquisitions work and international tax, often in the same week.

There's also scope to get into business partnering and advisory work as you grow into the role, if that's the direction you want to take.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing and supporting monthly and quarterly GST returns and corporate income tax compliance across group entities
• Supporting tax effect accounting, provisioning and reconciliations between financial reporting and tax filings
• Assisting with employment tax matters, including FBT and payroll-related tax data
• Analysing financial and operational data to support tax reporting, models and trackers
• Supporting tax input into business acquisitions and due diligence as the business continues to grow
• Providing practical, timely advice to finance and business stakeholders on day-to-day tax questions (e.g. GST/FBT treatment)
• Liaising with external advisors and building strong working relationships across Finance
• Supporting responses to tax audits, reviews and information requests from tax authorities

About You

• Studying towards CTA, CA, CPA - though we're just as open to confident, capable candidates without a formal qualification, provided you can hit the ground running
• Solid grounding in corporate tax and/or GST/indirect tax, from practice or in-house
• Corporate/business tax background - this role isn't suited to personal tax or trusts specialists
• Proactive by nature - you pick up the phone, flag things early, and don't disappear when something's tricky
• A clear communicator who can build relationships across a business, not just within Tax
• Strong Excel skills and comfortable working with data
• Energised by variety, and keen to build broad tax experience rather than staying in one lane
