Ambition has been engaged to recruit a Senior Manager Financial Crime for a Banking client in Brisbane. This is a new permanent role within the team due to continued growth in demand over the last year.

Key Responsibilities

- Present to Board and Executive teams on Financial Crime systems, processes and risks

- Contribute to define, plan and deliver strategy for short and long term business goals

- Providing recommendations to Senior Management to help mitigate risk for Financial Crime

- Internal and external stakeholder engagement and management

- Continuous improvement for Financial Crime processes, systems and technology

- Implement and monitor strategic direction and goals of Financial Crime function

- Develop and maintain AML/TF Transactional Monitoring governance framework

- Managing, training and mentoring a small team of Senior Officers and Junior Officers, with expected growth in the next 12 months

- Establish encouraging, collaborative team environment which recognises achievement

The Ideal Candidate

- Comprehensive knowledge of AML/CTF regulations and processes within Australia

- Prior banking experience and knowledge of payment or card processes

- Understanding of complex Financial Crime Analytics

- Excellent ability to build relationships quickly and work with senior levels of the organisation

- Experience leading, training and mentoring team members

- Proven competency in managing external parties (E.g. vendors or clients) - non essential
