The client is a large, globally recognised organisation respected for their operational excellence & smart investments. They have been particularly successful through partnerships and joint ventures across Australia & Europe. The sizeable nature of the business results in a degree of complexity in their commercial transactions; this in turn requires a high-performing finance function to drive the right levels of transparency and insight.

A newly created role has surfaced due to growth within Group Finance. This position requires a strong understanding in technical accounting as well as the ability adapt and learn. You have opportunity to work through the group budget & forecast and prepare specialised board reports which reflect your variance analysis. The ability to prepare consolidated financial statements for a large number of entities will also be required. There will be abundant analysis required on an ad hoc basis in conjunction with the Head of Financial Control. You will have ample opportunity to participate in / drive process improvement initiatives and system upgrades in the coming months as well.

To be succesfull in this position you will need to be a highly academic CA/CPA Qualified candidate with statutory reporting experience in a Big 4 / Blue Chip environment. You will be comfortable around complex finance structures and reporting. A proven track record of process improvement within departments would be highly beneficial as well the ability to communicate with senior stakeholders that aren't necessarily finance heads.
