A leading Financial Services firm is looking to hire a Scrum Master to ensure the Agile methodology is being followed and implemented across the teams

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a high-performing and self-managing project delivery teams 
  • Coach project delivery teams through Agile adoption, developing and following through with Agile values, principles, practices and techniques
  • Organise and facilitate all scrum ceremonies (Retrospective, Standup, Sprint Planning, Showcase)
  • Respond to and be supportive of differing team needs in order to maintain and improve on delivery
  • Guide the team through continual improvement through acceptance and commitment to AGILE principles
  • Guide and coach Product Owners, Business Analysts and developers 
  • Provide facilitation, guidance, energy and support to teams across the organisation
  • Empower the team and lead them through agreed commitments
    Promote and enhance a collaborative work environment
  • Identify and remove organisational impediments to agility
  • Develop and execute Agile education and training
  • Actively promote the sharing of knowledge across teams and within the coaching community
  • Mentor and develop fellow Agile members
Key experience:
  • At least 3 years experience working as a dedicated Scrum Master in a large corporate/FS firms based in Australia 
  • Must be a certified scrum professional 
  • Investment Banking or Financial services experience is desirable
  • 3 years plus experience in design and implementation of business applications requiring detailed knowledge of business logic.
  • People can come from BA, PM, QA or previous development background
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation, coaching and mentorship skills
  • Deep understanding of Agile practices, trends, tools and techniques, and the ability to transfer that understanding at all levels of the organisation
  • Demonstrable success in providing coaching for sustained Agile adoption with teams of various sizes and experience levels
  • Strong ability to influence cross-functional teams and leadership
  • Experience with large scale Agile transformations in matrixed environments is extremely desirable
