Mutual Compliance Manager

A successful and growing organisation is seeking a Compliance Manager to join its leadership team and help shape the future of its compliance function.

Reporting directly to the Director, this role combines people leadership, stakeholder engagement and compliance oversight across Australia and New Zealand. You'll lead a small team of two, work closely with senior executives and play a key role in driving continuous improvement across the business.

You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the compliance framework, ensuring regulatory obligations and AFSL requirement are met.

Success in this role will depend on your ability to build credibility with stakeholders across the business, particularly within the sales fucntion.

Key responsiblities:

  • Maintain and enhance the compliance management framework, policies and procedures
  • Ensure the business operates in accordance with regulatory obligations and AFSL requirements
  • Identify compliance risks, controls and mitigation strategies
  • Lead compliance monitoring activities and oversee reporting processes
  • Manage breach identification, investigation and reporting requirements
  • Deliver compliance training, coaching and guidance to stakeholders across the business
  • Conduct quality assessments and provide actionable feedback to support improved outcomes
  • Develop and mentor a team of two Compliance Analysts
  • Prepare compliance reporting for senior management and Risk Committee meetings
  • Drive process improvement initiatives and support broader business projects
  • Partner with stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand to strengthen compliance practices

About you:

  • Compliance experience within a regulated environment
  • A strong understanding of regulatory frameworks
  • Previous leadership, mentoring or team management experience
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation capabilities
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach
