An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Information Security Operations Lead to join a well-established global organisation. This is a newly created leadership position offering the chance to shape the direction of the security operations function while remaining technically hands-on.

This role would suit someone who enjoys balancing technical security engineering with people leadership, working in a fast-paced environment where automation, continuous improvement and innovation are encouraged.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead, mentor and develop a small team of Security Engineers, supporting performance, career development and day-to-day delivery.
• Oversee security operations, including incident response, vulnerability management, security monitoring and operational improvements.
• Drive the adoption of automation and process improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen security capabilities.
• Collaborate with global technology and security teams to align processes, standards and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership during major security incidents and help coordinate response activities.
• Contribute to the security strategy and roadmap, identifying opportunities to enhance the overall security posture.

Experience required:

• Previous experience leading or mentoring Security Engineers or Security Operations teams.
• Strong technical background across security engineering or security operations.
• Experience with technologies such as Microsoft security, SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management and identity security.
• Exposure to cloud security environments (Azure/Microsoft 365 and/or AWS).
• Experience developing operational processes, incident response procedures and security playbooks.
• Passion for coaching and developing people, with previous performance management experience.
• Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell or Python) is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
