ICT Lead
Sydney: (Hybrid - 3 days in office)
Permanent position: ASAP start

We're partnering with a rapidly growing small-medium sized business that has recently secured significant investment and trebled in size. As they continue to scale, they are looking for an ICT Lead to take ownership of their IT environment and support the next phase of growth.

This is a standalone role, best suited to someone who thrives working autonomously and enjoys being the go-to person for all things IT. The focus is on BAU operations, stability, and continuous improvement, while also supporting business-led initiatives such as cloud migrations and new system implementations.

This role is ideal for a Systems Administrator ready to step up into a senior position and wants to start their pathway into leadership.

Responsibilities include:

  • Own and manage day-to-day IT operations across the business
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all internal IT support and infrastructure needs
  • Maintain and optimise core systems, and cloud environments
  • Support the delivery of new initiatives (e.g. cloud migrations, system implementations)
  • Manage and liaise with MSPs and third-party vendors to ensure service quality
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the business
  • Identify and implement improvements to systems, processes, and IT maturity
  • Ensure IT security, governance, and best practices are upheld

Experience required:

  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator in a small to medium-sized environment
  • Experience working in a Microsoft environment
  • Comfortable operating in a standalone, autonomous role with full ownership
  • Strong hands-on technical background across infrastructure, cloud, and general IT operations
  • Experience working alongside MSPs and managing external vendors
  • Ability to support projects from a technical perspective
  • Proactive, self-sufficient, and confident making decisions independently
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage non-technical stakeholders
