They currently have an outstanding opportunity for a Group Accounting Manager to join their group finance team, based in Melbourne. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Big 4 first or second mover to join a large dynamic finance team under an exceptionally driven and ambitious executive leadership team.
The main purpose of the Group Accounting Manager is to oversee the internal and external reporting requirements of the Group. This includes, but is not limited to: management of month end reporting, statutory reporting obligations, group financial accounting and consolidation, managing the external audit process, assisting the budgeting and forecasting process, to analyse and provide guidance to management on the interpretation of accounting standards and oversee and manage the consolidation of the group budget and forecast results. Additionally, the role will be responsible for managing a team of qualified accountants.
CA qualified this is the ideal role for a Senior Manager/Newly Appointed Associate Director from a Big 4 or leading second tier firm making their first move into industry. Alternatively, dynamic candidates with a combination of both chartered and industry experience will also be considered if appropriate. The successful candidate will have an excellent blend of financial accounting and compliance experience. This is a visible leadership role in the group finance team, the combination of your excellent compliance skills combined with your outstanding communication skills to deal with multiple stakeholders will be the defining factor to your success in this career defining role.
