About The Role

Working closely with the Head of Financial Planning, Analysis & Reporting you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the annual budget and business planning processes.

Your responsibilities will include: assisting with financial assessments (to ensure planning and budgetary activities meet corporate goals) and the achievement of balance between commercial and corporate governance objectives.

You will also be responsible for: preparing Statements of Business Intent, Activity Based Management analysis and reporting, and supporting the strategic and operational decision making processes.

In this role you will: monitor budget expenditure (and work closely with the various divisions to ensure budget expectations are met), establish and monitor compliance with operating procedures and policies, and drive cost efficiencies within the business.

To succeed in this role you will have:

Excellent knowledge of accounting principles/systems and finance processes, solid understanding of financial services (in particular investment management), and the government sector.

The ability to build credibility across the organisation, and work successfully across business units (and with people of all levels and experience) will be paramount.

Well-developed systems expertise, highly developed communication skills, degree qualifications (in Business, Finance or similar) and professional accounting qualifications will be mandatory, as will be over 10 years-experience of reporting experience in a financial markets environment.
