Finance Manager

Ambition Recruitment is partnering with an established provider of health and wellbeing services. We are seeking a Finance Manager to lead day‑to‑day financial operations within a regulated services environment. Reporting to a senior finance leader and managing a small team, this role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong controls, and timely commercial insights to support decision‑making.

The position offers a blend of operational finance leadership, compliance oversight, and stakeholder engagement, within a complex, fast‑paced service delivery setting.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee core finance operations including financial reporting, accounts payable, invoicing, and payroll coordination
• Ensure timely and accurate month‑end, statutory and contract‑based financial reporting
• Maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial regulations, and organisational policies
• Prepare financial statements and management reports, including monitoring contractual KPIs
• Act as a key finance contact for internal stakeholders, providing clear insights on performance and risk
• Support annual audits and work collaboratively to resolve audit findings
• Lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team

About you:

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business; CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in operational finance and financial reporting roles
• Demonstrated people leadership experience and a collaborative management style
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and reporting frameworks
• Experience using ERP systems (e.g. D365) and advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a regulated or complex environment
• Experience working with government contracts or regulated sectors advantageous but not mandatory
