Cyber Security Consultant
Sydney CBD - Hybrid working options
12-Month Contract - ASAP Start

We're partnering with a leading Australian Managed Service Provider, recognised for delivering high-quality solutions across cloud, IT operations, and cyber security. They're looking to bring on a Cyber Security Consultant to support a diverse client base and play a key role in delivering strategic and hands-on cyber initiatives.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a blend of advisory and delivery work, with exposure to a wide range of environments and projects. This role is highly client-facing and will see you involved from pre-sales through to implementation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to clients on cyber security strategy, improvements, and best practices
  • Supporting pre-sales engagements, including client meetings and solution design
  • Delivering end-to-end cyber security projects across multiple clients
  • Implementing and improving security capabilities across areas such as detection, response, and prevention
  • Conducting security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing coordination
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery and outcomes

About You

You'll come from a infrastructure or systems engineering background and have transitioned into cyber security, with proven experience delivering projects end-to-end in an MSP environment.

Key requirements:

  • 4+ years experience delivering cyber security projects across areas such as detection & response, firewalls, vulnerability management, patching, and endpoint security
  • Strong Microsoft security stack experience (Defender, Sentinel, Azure Security, etc.)
  • Proven ability to engage with stakeholders face-to-face and provide strategic security advice, not just technical fixes
  • Experience working within an MSP environment and have experience with pre-sales and advisory engagements
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST, Essential Eight)
  • Experience with tools such as Splunk and ServiceNow
