My client is a leading ASX listed top 20 corporate experiencing record revenue with an exciting and defined growth mandate and innovative new product offerings. They are a market leader in providing training and developmental opportunities for their employees and are constantly recognised as an employer of choice in the Australian market. Due to an internal promotion, they currently have an opening for a Corporate Accountant with excellent technical skills hailing from a Big 4, mid-tier or complex industry background.

Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager this high-profile role will specifically be responsible for providing technical accounting skills to fulfil the organisations internal and external financial accounting and reporting obligations. A further element to this role will be to manage the relationship between business units to source the relevant information required for the financial reporting to be completed accurately and on time.

The key accountabilities of this position will include but not be limited to: providing quality analysis and advice in accordance with accounting standards to business units around business transactions, monitor the latest developments in the accounting standards relevant to the organisation both in Australia and overseas, preparation of the accounting policies for the organisation to ensure they are in line with the accounting standards, assist in completing the internal and external group reporting requirements, consolidation of monthly results, establish and maintain relationships with external auditors and the management of stakeholder relationships to ensure business objectives are achieved.

You will ideally be a highly ambitious chartered accountant with a background in a Big 4 or mid-tier chartered environment. Exceptional candidates from complex industries will also be considered. Candidates with exposure to M&A or investments will be highly regarded. You will possess strong technical and consolidation skills which you will be able to utilise in this highly visible role. Further, the successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to confidently liaise with stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation. The successful candidate will have the ability to work autonomously, while also be able to contribute to the success of the team.
