My client is an exciting, innovative ASX 50 organisation that is very well known for its top-end products and services. Due to their continued strong growth, they require an experienced commercial professional to step into this highly visible role and help drive operational decisions and ultimately ensure that strategic objectives are met.
Reporting to the GM Commercial, the Commercial Manager will have a broad scope which ultimately interacts with the whole business. Specifically, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: commercial contract management and negotiation with external vendors and suppliers in regards to new and existing opportunities; financial analysis in regards to new commercial opportunities; financial modelling and forecasting to assist with business case development to be presented to the executive team; pricing and financial evaluation of tender submissions; management of dispute proceedings where required; partnering and providing commercial support to the wider business; other ad-hoc tasks. You will also be managing a small team within this role.
The successful candidate will hail from a commercial background where you have a proven track record of providing valuable commercial insights and recommendations, ultimately influencing senior internal and external stakeholders. As you will be leading the contract negotiations with vendors, you will be comfortable with contract management and have prior commercial negotiation experience. You will be highly analytical with an inquisitive mind, able to break down complex problems into single and manageable components. Being a highly visible role, you will possess excellent communication (both verbal and written), interpersonal and presentation skills.
