Are you an experienced commercial manager who enjoys being a valued partner with the business in financial planning and advisory?

I am partnering with a leading FMCG brand looking a Commercial Finance Manager for 6 months FTC role as a cover for someone going on extended leave from the team.

You will be working alongside 3 other commercial managers and reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Support the Net Sales Forecasting and AOP processes across Coles, Woolworths and Marketing portfolios
  • Lead analytical support for the Accounts team
  • Overview the month-end close and forecasting process and prepare monthly and quarterly reporting.
  • Generate insights with respect to working and non-working components of trade spend and making recommendations
  • Implementation and governance for promotional guardrails and effectiveness assessment
  • Leading the development and analysis of the programs for key account and ensuring there is visibility on the ROI
  • Partner with commercial teams to provide reports, insights on promotions, initiatives.
  • Support the Commercial Teams with ad hoc analysis on performance
  • Develop the financial acumen of Sales function through coaching to improve their awareness of commercial finance processes.
  • Identify and execute process improvement across the commercial finance team
  • As a Control Owner the role has responsibility to ensure all documentation, process flows and test scripts are updated on a timely basis.
  • Execute the control as designed all failures are to be remediated in a timely manner and updated to the sub-process owner.
  • Ensure GCS testing is adhered to and performed in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate and exercise a commitment to promote, develop and improve the health, safety and welfare or our people.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent international qualification, with CA, CPA or CIMA qualification
  • 5-7 years post graduate experience (ideally with at least 1-2 years in FMCG industry) in commercial finance, FP&A, business analysis and/or management accounting.
  • Experience in working cross-functionally, including experience working with Sales and Marketing
  • Ability to work with and influence a team
  • Highly developed presentation skills
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interact and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience in POWER BI is an advantage
  • Experience working with Ac Nielsen / Aztec Scan information
