An excellent opportunity has become available for a Commercial Analyst to join a well established, fast moving business based in South Melbourne. This is a temp to perm role with an immediate start, ideal for someone looking to step up from an Assistant Accountant or junior commercial role and gain broader business exposure.

You'll work closely with a supportive Commercial Senior Accountant and partner with stakeholders across the business, playing a hands on role in analysis, reporting and process improvement.

The Opportunity
This role will suit someone who enjoys working with data, identifying issues, and turning insights into action. You'll gain exposure to commercial decision making while strengthening your analytical and stakeholder engagement skills.
This is a full time, onsite role (5 days per week) and is best suited to someone who thrives in a collaborative, office based environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Analyse and interpret commercial and back office data to provide meaningful business insights
* Collate, validate and manage data integrity, including incentive and performance reporting
* Identify issues, investigate root causes and communicate findings to key stakeholders
* Prepare regular and ad hoc reports within agreed timeframes
* Document and improve processes to drive efficiency and accuracy
* Liaise with internal teams and external service providers to resolve issues
* Support ongoing projects and business initiatives through detailed analysis

About You
* Background as an Assistant Accountant, junior Commercial Analyst or similar
* 3+ years' experience in accounting, analysis or reporting roles
* Degree qualified in Commerce, Business, Accounting or similar (advantageous)
* Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets
* Excellent attention to detail and problem solving capability
* Confident communicator able to work with stakeholders at different levels
* Experience with Power BI or similar tools advantageous (not essential)
