Business Performance Analyst


The Role:

The Business Performance Analyst will support the Claims & Assessing team through the provision of timely and accurate reporting and analysis of data to ensure any emerging trends are identified early so that appropriate action can be taken. A key part of the role will be understanding the performance of the claims business, drivers for the results and future impacts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Efficient delivery of relevant, timely and accurate regular and ad hoc reporting;
  • Provide detailed recommendations of corrective actions identified through analysis;
  • Proactively identify and provide insights on cost, productivity and quality trends and claims leakage;
  • Assist the Claims Analytics and Reporting Manager in the development of a Reporting Framework;
  • Assist the Claim & Assessing Leadership team in determining and setting relevant KPI's and targets.


Knowledge & Experience:

You will have developed excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with all levels of the business while encouraging initiative, creativity and lateral thinking in all team members. Your high attention to detail will motivate you to be deadline and accuracy driven in the delivery of your reports, advice and recommendations. Specialised working knowledge of Claims Insurance business and processes and understanding of the factors that influence the claims cost, effectiveness and service delivery will allow you to hit the ground running.

You will also have:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills;
  • Intermediate to Advanced SAS or SQL skills;
  • Specialised working knowledge of Claims Insurance business and processes;
  • Customer focussed approach;
  • Familiarity with financial accounts/reports/ financial methodology highly regarded;
  • Business/Commerce qualification with a specialisation in Information Management,
  • Business, Finance, Statistics or Mathematics (Highly desirable).
