Ambition is delighted to be partnering with a multi-award-winning global software company. They are an internationally renowned company and have significant market share, but are looking to grow this substantially though business developing and offering an outstanding service to existing enterprise clients. Due to their growth and ambitious plans, they are looking to hire a Business Development Manager to join their Melbourne team and drive the Oceania region forward.

This is a full end to end role that will involve new sales as well as upselling new products to existing clients. You will be responsible for the entire life cycle through to signing the contract.

You are joining a small and successful team in Melbourne and will be responsible for attracting top sales talent and managing the team's performance and development.

Key duties in the role will include:

  • Manage Oceania sales and strategy in accordance with overall international strategy set out by the Regional Director of Business Development
  • Conducts sales calls, prepare/perform product delivery presentations, support, and other sales and marketing functions as needed.
  • Prepare, coordinate and run exhibitions, events etc. in the region
  • Preparation of sales forecasts
  • Meet new and existing clients
  • Nurture existing client relationships and develop new ones
  • Implement and execute company sales training programme
  • Work closely with the customer support team to ensure queries are resolved

Experience/Skills required:

  • A proven sales professional with extensive sales experience, preferably within a software company, but we are open to other areas, providing you are an exceptional Business Developer.
  • A high performer who is used to exceeding sales expectations while offering exceptional service.
  • Confident and comfortable working with little supervision
  • Experience of building and managing a sales team
  • Outstanding communications skills are essential as is the ability to adapt to a wide variety of clients and stakeholders.
