The Markets Application Production Services group is a global group responsible for the management of production systems across Equities including Cash and Futures & Options. The group works closely with the business and provides application support. The group closely interacts with the development and infrastructure teams to manage all changes to the production environment. Markets Application Production Services group has a strong focus on operational excellence and process improvement.

The successful candidate will join a global team in APAC whose primary focus will be on providing front line support for client connectivity and futures and options trading related to direct market access and algorithm and high frequency trading platforms for all of Asia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working on a shift basis, the successful candidate will be responsible for start of day checks when covering the early shift and required to cover some weekend work for releases, testing and weekend checkouts to accommodate the business needs.
  • Responsible for ensuring the smooth running of production futures and options Electronic Trading global platform
  • Providing the highest level of service managing day-to-day support of all the front-office trading systems, including, client connectivity, order management systems, algorithmic trading, Direct Market Access and High Frequency Trading for co-location flows.
  • Located on the trading floor you will be required to maintain a high level of decorum to interact closely with regional and global business users, as well as other groups in Technology, to ensure issues are addressed and communicated in a timely manner to meet agreed SLA's.
  • Work closely with developers and business analysts to coordinate system rollouts and application updates and providing feedback on production system performance, and investigate production problems and identify solutions.
  • Managing and resolving outages as efficiently as possible with a demonstrated ability to maintain communications with all stakeholders until resolution.
  • Driving operating procedure excellence in incident management, change management and problem management
  • Proactively identifying potential production issues across the Electronic Trading stack and determining areas for continuous improvement

    Key Requirements:
  • 7+ years working experience in a similar role.
  • Educated to degree level in engineering or science discipline.
  • Experience working within production support within a financial services organization.
  • Good system knowledge of Unix/Linux, Messaging Middleware (MQ, EMS, RV), market data, Oracle and networks.
  • Familiar with UNIX shell scripts, Python and Perl would be an added advantage.
  • Familiar with FIX protocol.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Experience with FIX Protocol, troubleshooting experience in direct market access, high frequency trading and algorithmic trading.
  • Knowledge of Asia F&O markets behavior (e.g. OSE, HKFE, SFE, SGX, KFE)
  • Proactive, has initiative, diligent, hardworking. Willing to learn.
  • Team player as well as being able to work independently, ability and experience in leading a team would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Able to work under pressure in time sensitive trading environment.
  • Experience with ITRS, Java VM, Windows, Ansible, AMPS, Autosys and Tableau would be an added advantage.
