Our client is widely recognised as an innovative market leader within the Australian and Asian financial markets. An outstanding opportunity is now available for a highly analytical finance professional to join their team.
As an Accountant, Expenses and Divisional Reporting, you will be responsible for supporting Australia Wealth accounting and reporting activities to support the Australia Wealth Financial Controller including provision of accurate and timely financial information to the Business Unit Divisional Finance team, and ensuring that all statutory and regulatory reporting obligations across the Business Unit are adequately met. This includes provision of appropriate support to ensure accuracy and timeliness of month-end delivery requirements (including statutory and regulatory reporting), registers, schedules, reconciliations, trial balance, and ensuring accounting services are completed to support financial reporting and successful audit completion.
In addition you will be part of the Financial Control Community of Practice which plays a part in the formulation, implementation and monitoring of accounting policies and internal controls. You will be part of the team that takes ownership of compliance with statutory and regulatory financial reporting requirements. Finally you will be accountable for the integrity of the numbers by delivering accurate, reliable and timely financial information, while ensuring that the processes are streamlined & above all embedding a strong governance culture.
To be considered you will be a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) or equivalent, have experience with statutory and regulatory accounting within a financial services environment as well as well-developed systems experience with PeopleSoft/SAP/HFM general ledger experience and proficiency in Excel.
