Meet Claire

Your background.

After completing my Bachelor of Arts degree in 2005 with a double major in Politics and History from La Trobe University, I moved into senior assistant and project manager positions across the healthcare, property and education sectors. This also included working in London with one of UK's largest interim and executive search firms. Before joining Ambition, I was with a national executive search organisation, working across both the executive search and interim divisions.

Your role.

I am now responsible for acquiring and leading our Interim Not-For-Profit practice across our healthcare, government, education and not-for-profit clients. My key focus will be to continue to service both our key clients and candidates, whilst expanding our service offering. I specialise in appointing financial professionals from entry-level positions to executive level CFOs and mid to senior human resources professionals.

What’s the best thing about your job?

I have always loved working with people and being able to contribute and make a difference. Working with Ambition and our clients and candidates provides me the opportunity to do what I love. 

What’s your best piece of advice to job seekers?

I believe the basics of interpersonal skills never falter. Smiling, building a connection with the interviewer and listening to the intention behind the question and responding appropriately, is always refreshing. 

Who has inspired you and why?

I have had the privilege to work with many professional development mentors over the last ten years. Each of them, in their own way, have inspired me to focus my attention on others and the difference I can make to another.

What does Ambition mean to you?

Ambition has a global reach but continues to operate with a boutique approach. I appreciate and admire the high level of integrity and care in which the team operates.
