It is so encouraging to find that International Women's Day was more widely celebrated this year in Australia than ever before.
Having attended a number of events in both Sydney and Melbourne, spanning over three weeks, I noticed a few common themes.
It was evident there were more men in attendance overall than in previous years, sending a clear message of support and sponsorship for gender diversity.
What I also heard was that there was far more choice of both male and female speakers and Panel members at these events than ever before.
What this tells us is that we're making progress. It's slow progress, I will acknowledge, but with so many more organisations implementing gender diversity strategies and policies, it's now becoming the 'norm' and no longer the 'exception'.
