What is Bill Gates thinking about? Since retirement Gates has been on a special mission and dedicated much of his time to the Gates Notes, his personal new website. So, what lies behind an exceptional man, an exceptional website of course. The navigation is simple yet calculated, almost genius.

The Gates Notes website provides interesting world news that can be appreciated by all. With section titles such as What’s Been On My Mind Lately, What I’m Learning About, My Travels and Infrequently Asked Questions it’s clear to say the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is dedicated to making a difference.

The site is great for keeping up with IT and relevant issues that are going on in our world. Stories like PC Pioneer Chuck Thacker Wins Turing Award aka the ‘Nobel prize of computing’ act as an inspiration for future development of IT science. It’s all about pushing ourselves to be the best we can whilst giving back to society in a way unimaginable.

So, what exactly is on Gates mind and what is he interested in reading, watching and listening to? Topics such as Why Vaccines Matter, The Mood at Davos, The New Science Of Feeding the World and A Clear Look At The Great Panic.

Almost expecting Gates to be somewhat a nerd I am amazed at how much we have in common. The website is informative, encouraging, educative, innovative and most of all FUN. It is a great insight into the magical world of IT where imagination is endless.

IT as an industry is constantly changing so keeping up becomes a situation of survival of the fittest. Change is inevitable but self improvement is a choice of our own. Challenge yourself and be one step ahead of your competitor whether it is an individual or company.
