SAP FICO Consultant

Ambition are currently recruiting a 3 month SAP FICO consultant role with an established retail client. Role will be based in the Sydney CBD, with hybrid working.

Candidates must have more than 6+ years of experience in SAP FICO to be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for financial and controlling processes.
• Configure SAP FICO modules to meet business requirements, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, and Internal Orders.
• Perform data mapping, cleansing, and migration activities to ensure accurate and seamless transition from legacy systems to SAP.
• Design and implement financial reporting solutions using SAP tools such as SAP S/4HANA Finance, SAP Fiori, and SAP Analytics Cloud.
• Provide expertise in SAP best practices and recommend process improvements to optimize financial operations.
• Conduct end-user training sessions and provide ongoing support to ensure effective adoption of the SAP system.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical consultants, project managers, and business analysts, to deliver successful SAP implementations on time and within budget.
• Stay current with SAP FICO module updates, industry trends, and regulatory requirements to continuously enhance system functionality and compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA) is a plus.
• Extensive experience (5+ years) implementing SAP FICO modules, including full lifecycle implementations and support.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, processes, and best practices.
• Proficiency in SAP configuration, data migration, and reporting tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Requirements:

• 6-10 years of experience in SAP FICO
• Proven track record of successful SAP FICO implementations, preferably in multiple industries.
• Willingness to travel as needed for project assignments.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and mitigate risks.
