Adam Dickson
Manager, Executive Search & Interim Management
Adam graduated from Leeds University with a BA (Hon.) Degree in Business Management in 1999 and went straight into a career in Senior Financial Contract recruitment with successful spells at FSS Financial, Archer Mathieson and Martin Ward Anderson (MWA). Adam’s experience in the past nine years has been recruiting both Permanent Senior Executives and Interims into the commercial markets in and around London working closely with major corporate including Reuters, Diageo, BP, PepsiCo and BSkyB. Adam relocated to Sydney in November 2006 and joined Ambition as the Manager within in the Commerce & Industry Division covering Sydney’s CBD and South regions. His recruitment focus is to specialize in the post qualified permanent and contract space that operates at $150k - $300k ($50 per hour to $2000 per day equivalent).

David Trapnell
Director of Commercial Finance & Banking Operations
David is a Business Studies Graduate from Brighton University. He started his career in sales at Hewlett Packard before joining a major UK listed recruitment business as a consultant in 1994. During his career David has recruited and advised clients at all levels on financial recruitment and talent management, from part qualified accountants through to CFO’s. After 11 years recruiting in the UK & Europe he joined ambition in January 2005 initially managing the CBD commerce team. He has since been promoted to Director and now leads a team of Managers and Consultants. David’s recruitment focus is at the $150,000 - $400,000+ level where he has a wealth of experience advising finance executives and MD / Boards.

Gavin Houchell
MD Ambition Australia
Gavin has been recruiting finance and accounting professionals both in the UK and Australia since 1996. His expertise lies in search and selection, careers planning and advisory service for senior finance executives. He commenced his career in product development before joining Hays Accountancy Personnel in their London office, then transferring to their Sydney office in 1998.
After completing a Post Grad in Marketing, Gavin joined the Ambition team in late 2000 where he has been instrumental in building the brand from early inception; through to a team of over 60 professionals across 4 offices in Australia.
In 2006, Gavin was made Managing Director, Ambition Finance. He is responsible for leading a number of specialist recruitment teams offering services for leading Blue Chip firms within Commerce & Industry and Banking & Finance sectors across NSW, VIC and QLD.
